About Geothermaq

Geothermaq is an independent company specializing in shallow geothermal energy systems. The company supports businesses in the industrial and service sectors, as well as public institutions and municipalities. Our mission is to transform the natural thermal potential of the subsurface into efficient, sustainable, and carbon-free heating and cooling solutions.

Our History

Since its founding in 2021, Geothermaq has established itself as a leading player in geothermal engineering. Our journey is guided by a constant ambition: to identify and implement the most appropriate geothermal solution to meet the heating and cooling needs of our customers.

With more than 160 studies and projects completed throughout France, we have evolved to offer comprehensive support, from initial geological and hydrogeological assessments through to the delivery of turnkey projects.

The Leaders

Geothermaq was founded by two experts with a passion for the subsurface who were determined to make shallow geothermal energy more widely accessible in France. Combining strategic vision with scientific rigor, Jérôme PORFIRIO and Frédéric PASCAUD lead the company with a clear goal: to make geothermal energy the cornerstone of decarbonization in the industrial and infrastructure sectors.

Jérôme PORFIRIO

"My goal for Geothermaq is to provide project owners with a 'turnkey' solution that overcomes all the technical and financial barriers to geothermal energy. We don't just design systems; we are committed to their actual performance and long-term profitability."

Jérôme PORFIRIO - President - Technical Director

Arts & Métiers Engineer

"The success of a geothermal project begins with a thorough understanding of your needs and the search for an appropriate solution. My role is to identify and implement the support that meets your energy transition goals while taking into account the geothermal resources available at your site."
