FEBUS OPTICS built the company's headquarters in Pau (64) and wanted to install a high-performance, environmentally friendly heating and cooling system, for one thing.
In addition, FEBUS OPTICS is a manufacturer of instruments for measuring temperature, deformation, vibration, and more—all transmitted via fiber optics. Consequently, the six 150-meter probes that make up the probe array were equipped with fiber optics along their entire lengths. FEBUS OPTICS records temperatures meter by meter along the entire 900 ml length of the installation and has a demonstration unit showcasing its expertise on-site.
Géothermaq supported FEBUS OPTICS throughout the entire construction project for its corporate headquarters. Géothermaq advised the company on the choice of technology to be implemented—namely, geothermal energy using boreholes—and conducted the studies and provided project management support for the drilling operations.
Since FEBUS OPTICS wanted to equip each probe with an optical fiber for temperature measurement, FEBUS OPTICS and GEOTHERMAQ collaborated to select the equipment, determine the installation method, and assist the driller during installation.
