The Issue

HERMES has built its 24th factory for leather bags and accessories in Isle d'Espagnac (16). The cutting, stitching, and assembly workshops will eventually employ nearly 300 people by 2028.

HERMES is committed to phasing out the use of fossil fuels at its industrial sites by 2030, unless there are demonstrated technical impediments. The company is also deeply committed to preserving biodiversity, and the construction of its facilities is designed to meet environmental excellence standards.

These requirements led HERMES to choose geothermal energy to provide heating and cooling for the Isle d'Espagnac manufacturing facility. The well field was drilled within the construction footprint to minimize the impact on the land.

Our Support

Géothermaq provided comprehensive support for the underground component of the project, from the initial studies through to the final acceptance of the installation.
